Rhino Reading Program
Rhino Reading Program
☺Students are to read 20 minutes a night as part of their daily homework assignment. Students are to read a MINIMUM of 100 minutes per week.
☺Students record their daily reading minutes in the monthly calendar in their agendas. Total weekly minutes will be collected every Monday.
☺Students are to tally their total minutes for the week and complete the Reading and Writing Log. The log will be collected EVERY FRIDAY!
☺At the end of each month, the total minutes read by the class will be tallied. However, there is a 1,000 minute cap per student for the class tally. For those students who read over 1,000 minutes, those extra minutes will count for individual tallies.
☺The third grade class with the highest total number of minutes read at the end of the year will be rewarded with a field trip to Barnes & Noble to receive a free book of their choice.
☺Each month, minutes read by each student will also be tallied. The third grade student who has read the most minutes at the end of the year will also join the other classes on the book store field trip. There is no cap on the reading minutes for individual students.
